“He said He is the Messiah. He said he is God. He said He is King of all Kings. He said He is Lord of all Lords. He said He is the giver of Life. According to him, He has Legions of Angels at his command. But He allowed Himself to be sold, betrayed, denied, scourged, mocked, crucified and, worst of all, He ended up hanging and dying naked on a piece of wood, a Cross.
What god would accept such humiliation? Isn’t this absurd? Isn’t this Illogical? We were still battling with the absurdity and illogicality of this self-proclaimed god, when we heard from his followers that He has risen from the grave. This is the height of it all. Oooo! Or Better still, it is just another attempt of April Fool, that the so-called Christians (followers of the self-proclaimed god) are putting up to the whole of humanity in order to get more converts.” – By Mr Brilliant Atheist filled with worldly wisdom.
But guess what?
Through the Sacred Scripture, God says: “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise and set aside the understanding of the scholars” (C.f 1 Corinthians 1:19). It also makes us understand that “the message about Christ’s death on the cross is nonsense to those who are being lost; but for us who are being saved it is God’s power” (C.f 1st Corinthians 1:18).
So if you’re trying to determine the logical or illogical nature of Christ’s crucifixion, death and resurrection from the dead, you’ll be pleased that you will find a suitable answer to support your quest. Simply because, you have considered yourself as a god (not as God), hence, according to your wishful thinking, you can provide answers to everything happening on earth. I wish you safe journey in your quest!!! bon voyage!!!
Being a unique year, the first four months of the year 2018 is filled with some many mixed-events: Ash Wednesday and Valentine’s Day (what sort of combination is this?) and now we have Easter and the so-called April Fools Day. The atheists and their likes have began to use this as a means to mock the entire project of Christianity, calling it a foolish one, hence today should be a reminder to everyone, including Christians, that we are journeying on a foolish course via Christianity.
But remember, God has a reason for everything. Perhaps, this is another way of showing us what the Jews felt when they heard the disciples’ rumour, according to them, about Christ’s resurrection. Perhaps, Christ wants to see how we, in the contemporary era, would react to this; if we would allow the wisdom of the world to guide us or if we would allow the wisdom of God to guide us. If we have allowed ourselves to be held in bondage by the secularists, atheists and their counterparts, or if we still believe in him as the Resurrection and the Life.
Do not forget that this is the base rock and the foundation of our Christian faith; if Christ had not risen from the dead, then there will be no Christianity. This would mean that Christ could not defeat the power of death, and if he can’t defeat the power of death, then he is powerless. But Christ defeated the power of death; death succumbed to him.
Christ is not dead; Christ is Alive. May the risen Christ always be with us in times of our sufferings and trials so that we will be able to perservere till the end without losing hope in Him. Amen.
Happy Easter Sunday and Happy New Month to everyone, and before I forget (April fool: Christ is no longer in the grave).
